The Ride High charity is exhibiting at MK Gallery in October alongside a world-famous George Stubbs exhibition. Stubbs is one of the UK’s greatest artists and is best known for his paintings of horses.
Members of the charity are recreating some of his most iconic work and will be displaying their work in the Project Space at MK Gallery from 9th – 30th October (Tuesday-Sunday) with support from kind sponsors: RB Equestrian Ltd, Shoosmiths and WSA – The Communications Agency.
The Ride High exhibition is free to visit and if you have an MK postcode you can visit on Tuesdays and see the George Stubbs exhibition ‘all done from Nature’ for free too.
Our very own Smartie visited the gallery to help publicise the launch – here he is next to Stubbs’ Whistlejacket!
Get involved!
We’re recreating a nearly life-size version of Stubbs’ most famous work, Whistlejacket for the exhibition and we’d like our volunteers, clients and team to join in and each paint a piece. If you’d like to paint one of the 133 pieces that will complete our masterpiece, please ask our Reception team from Wednesday 11 September.
We only have a short time to complete the mural, so please do ask when you’re next in.
All materials will be provided by the Centre and there is no charge to participate as we want as many of you as possible to take part – although donations to the Ride High charity are always welcome.
