We had a brilliant Easter holidays, with a packed activity programme that saw lots of children making friends with our ponies and trying horse riding for the first time, as well as many children who ride regularly, spending some extra time with us at our Pony Camp and Pony Experience Days. The ponies enjoyed the attention and Mishka and Coco really had a lovely time being groomed and stroked in our Pony Hour sessions – Coco actually fell asleep!
Our “Have a Go” sessions were very popular with new riders, and we also received lots of positive comments from the children and parents who joined our Pony Hour sessions, which are ideal for children who may have had minimal contact with horses, offering a chance to get to know the ponies through grooming, as well as experiencing horse riding in a short lesson.
The children that joined us in the first week for our 3 Day Pony Camp had a great time, with different activities each day and gymkhana games on the final afternoon. Blessed with fine weather over the Easter weekend, our led hacks were also popular, with parents and children riding together in the sunny weather.
Our thanks to everyone who visited our yard during the Easter break, we hope to see you again soon!
With the children back to school this week, we’re already looking ahead to the May Half Term break and have an exciting schedule of pony focussed activities planned: Find out more…
