Christmas Activities 2023

Christmas Activities

This Christmas break, wrap up warm and come outside to meet our friendly ponies – we’ve lots of fun activities planned for the holidays: There are three Pony & Activities Camp days, Pony Hours and Led Hacks for beginners and children who would like to try riding for the first time, as well as Pony Morning and Pony Afternoon sessions that are open to all.  We also have 3 New Year hacks exclusively for children who are already graded and ride regularly with us!

Activities for everyone:
Led Hack (Pony Ride)

Saturday 30 December & Wednesday 3 January:
10 am – 10.45 am | Age 3 – 12 years | £30

Meet our friendly ponies and join us for a gentle 30-minute Led Hack around the perimeter of the Equestrian Centre. This activity is suitable for beginners and parents are welcome to join us for the walk. Please wear wellies or boots for this activity.

Pony Hour

Saturday 30 December: 11.00 am – 12.00 pm | Age: 4 – 12 years | £35
Thursday 4 January: 10.00 am – 11.00 am | Age: 4 – 12 years | £35

In this fun session children spend half an hour riding and half an hour getting hands-on on the yard learning more about ponies and pony-care.  This is a great opportunity for children to have fun outside, learn new skills and gain confidence around horses.  Children may be accompanied by a maximum of 2 adults (no siblings please) or can be left for the session. Please wear wellies or boots for this activity as our stable yard has muddy and uneven surfaces.
This activity is ideal for beginners.

Pony & Activities Camp

Thursday 21 December: 10.00 am – 3.30 pm | Age: 6-14 years | £55
Wednesday 27 December: 10.00 am – 3.30 pm | Age: 6 – 14 years | £55
Tuesday 2 January: 10.00 am – 3.30 pm | Age: 6 – 14 years | £55

Join us for a Holiday Club with a difference!

Children will have a full, fun-packed day at the Equestrian Centre – with a range of activities to get them active and making friends.  They’ll also be getting very hands-on with our friendly ponies, learning about grooming, feeding and mucking out, as well as enjoying a pony ride and decorating the ponies with chalks and accessories!

This activity is suitable for children who have never ridden as well as children who can already ride.
