Easter Holiday Fun!

Visit our friendly stables this Easter for lots of fun in the fresh air!   

We have a special Half Day Easter Pony & Activities Camp and Easter Tots’ Pony Hour in addition to four Pony & Activities Camp Days, regular Pony Hours and Led Hacks that are ideal for children who are new to horse riding, as well as children who have ridden before.  There is also an Easter Riding Camp, hacks and show jumping for our graded, regular riders!

Easter Half Day Pony & Activities Camp

Friday 3 April (Good Friday) : 9.30 am – 1.00 pm
Age 5 – 12 years  £50

🐰 Our Holiday Club has an Easter theme for Good Friday!

🐰 Children can look forward to a fun-packed morning at the Equestrian Centre – with a range of Easter-themed activities to get them active and making friends.  As well as getting hands-on looking after our friendly ponies, they’ll also enjoy a pony ride along our Easter Trail!  Children will need to bring a packed a snack, a coat and a named water bottle with them.

🐰 Please do let us know when booking if your child has any allergies as every child will receive a chocolate gift to take home.

This activity is suitable for children who have never ridden as well as children who can already ride.  Drop off is 9.30 – 10 am and collection between 12.45pm and 1 pm.

Easter Tots' Pony Hour

Friday 3 April (Good Friday) : 2.00 pm – 3.00 pm
Age 3 – 5 years  £40

🐰 Children will spend half an hour riding their pony along our fun Easter trail, collecting tokens to exchange for a yummy chocolate gift to take home at the end…  They’ll also be getting hands-on with our friendly ponies, brushing and decorating them!

🐰 Please do let us know when booking if your child has any allergies as every child will receive a chocolate gift to take home.

This activity is suitable for beginners and parents must stay for the session (no siblings that are not booked in to the session please).

Led Hack (led pony ride)

Wednesday 1 April  
10.00 am – 10.30 am  Age 3 – 14 years  £33

Meet our friendly ponies and join us for a gentle Led Hack through Loughton.  
This activity is suitable for beginners.  Children may be accompanied by a maximum of 2 adults or can be left for the session.  Parents are welcome to join us for the walk, but please, no pushchairs or siblings walking alongside for safety reasons.

Pony Hour

Wednesday 1 April:  10.45 am – 11.45 am 
Friday 10 April:  2.00 pm – 3.00 pm 

Age 5 – 12 years  £38 

In this fun session children spend half an hour riding and half an hour getting hands-on on the yard learning more about ponies, grooming and decorating them.  This is a great opportunity for children to have fun outside, learn new skills and gain confidence around horses.  Children may be accompanied by a maximum of 2 adults (no siblings please) or can be left for the session.

Tots' Pony Hour

Friday 10 April:  10.00 am – 11.00 am

Age 3 – 5 years  £38 

In this fun session for smaller children, we will go out on a Led Hack for half an hour and spend half an hour getting hands-on grooming and decorating the ponies.  This is a great opportunity for children to have fun outside, learn new skills and gain confidence around horses.  Children should be accompanied by a maximum of 2 adults (no siblings please).

Pony & Activities Camp

Monday 30 March, Tuesday 7 April, Wednesday 8 April, Thursday 9 April: 10.00 am – 3.30 pm | Age: 5 – 12 years | £60 

Join us for a Holiday Club with a difference! 

Children will have a full, fun-packed day at the Equestrian Centre – with a range of activities to get them active and making friends.  They’ll also be getting very hands-on with our friendly ponies, learning about grooming, feeding and mucking out, as well as enjoying a pony ride and decorating the ponies with chalks and accessories!  Children will need to bring a packed lunch, a snack, a waterproof coat and a named water bottle with them.

This activity is suitable for children who have never ridden as well as children who can already ride.

This Easter break we have scheduled 30-minute private lessons in the Indoor and Outdoor schools for one-to-one tuition. These are a great opportunity to work with an instructor on aspects of your riding that you feel less confident about, or just as a special treat!

Activities exclusively for current, graded riders:

Show Jumping

Monday 6 April (Easter Monday)
L6:  9.30 am – 11.00 am | £55
L5:  11.00 am – 12.30 pm | £55 
L4:  1.30 pm – 3.00 pm | £55 
L3 Outdoor:  3.00 pm – 4.30 pm | £55 

These sessions are for our graded L3 (Outdoor) – L6 riders to practice their show jumping:  Each group will have a practice session, followed by a fun show jumping competition, with rosettes awarded!  Parents are welcome to watch from the outdoor shelter.  Numbers will be limited, so book early to avoid disappointment.

Hacks

Why not come hacking this Easter holiday?

Walk Trot Hack:  

Sunday 5 April (Easter Sunday):  9.30 am – 10.30 am | L3 (Outdoors) & over | £40 

We’ll be heading out for a gentle walk and trot hack with to explore the local bridleways.  These hacks are open to our current graded riders.

Walk, Trot, Canter Hack: 

Sunday 5 April (Easter Sunday): 10.30 am – 11.30 am | L4 – L6 | £40 

This ride out will also explore local bridleways but will probably include canter (ground and weather permitting).   Walk, Trot, Canter hacks are only open to our riders graded L4 and over.

Horse Mastership - Road Rider

Thursday 2 April:  10.00 am – 12.00 pm (practice session) and
Friday 10 April:  10.00 am – 11.30 am (written exam, ridden practice and test)  
 L3 (Outdoor) – L6

The topic this Easter is Road Rider and we will be looking at how to stay safe when riding on the roads, practicing signals and understanding signs and road markings. 

This session is only open to existing graded clients, L3 (Outdoor) and over.  It is very likely to be oversubscribed as numbers will be limited and we therefore recommend early booking.  This topic will involve a ridden assessment during the second session and you MUST attend both sessions to complete the course.  Participants must achieve a certain standard to receive the badge.

As this badge includes a ridden session, the prices are as follows:

Members – £20
Non Members – £35

Easter Riding Camp -

Tuesday 31 March – Wednesday 1 April: 9.00 am – 4.00 pm (both days)  |  L6  | £200

This Easter our L6 riders are invited to join us for a 2-day riding camp.  We will be focussing on some of the following topics: How to school correctly on the flat; Using schooling to improve show jumping and How to lunge correctly to improve the horse’s carriage and movement. Riders will also be learning how to turn out a horse correctly for a show, including plaiting correctly for competition, and how to prepare your tack, yourself and the horse ready to compete.

Riders should bring a packed lunch, their riding equipment (including body protector) and a coat each day.  

This activity is only open to our current L6 graded riders and as numbers for camp are limited, we advise booking early to avoid disappointment!

Important Information:

Please observe our Site Rules:

  • Please arrive 10 minutes before your booking slot to enable hat fitting etc.
  • Please ensure pony tails are low (for hat fitting).
  • All jewellery and body piercing must be removed when riding and doing any handling or ground work on the yard.  Stud earrings with butterflies are acceptable in the ears only.
  • Children must wear trousers e.g. leggings, joggers or jodhpurs for comfort when riding.  Children wearing shorts or skirts will not be allowed to ride.
  • Children should wear closed-toe shoes or boots with a small heel as our stable yard has uneven and muddy surfaces.
  • We have a strict 12 stone weight limit – please be aware of this if booking activities for older teens.
  • If the weather is likely to be wet, please bring a waterproof coat.
  • If the weather is likely to be sunny, please apply sunscreen and bring a water bottle.
  • Please do not come onto site if you feel unwell.

How to book:

To book activities please use our online booking system EC Pro.  Please note that in order to use the system you first need to register your details. 
Here’s what you need to do:

1. Visit https://ride-high.ecpro.co.uk/

2. Register by completing your account details

3. Verify your email by clicking the automated link sent to you by email (check your spam if you don’t receive instantly)

4. Login with your email and password details

5. Add riders to your account by following the instructions to click on the link to rider registration

6. Rider Registration must be completed with up-to-date details of each rider (including height and weight) so we can provide the most suitable pony

7. Submit your rider registration details by clicking the submit button

8. You can add more riders under the same account if you need to.

Once you have registered you can then download the EC Pro app from your app store or access EC Pro via your web browser. Just search EC Pro and then log in with your email address and password.
You can find Holiday Activities in EC Pro under: book a lesson>group lesson> then look up the date the activity is on to view and book it. 

Cancellation:
We ask for 48 hours notice for a cancellation. Otherwise the full fee will be payable.
